I AM PAYING MUCH MORE
ATTENTION TO WHEN ANY CAT
YAWNS LATELY. IT IS BECAUSE
I NEVER really NOTICED THE
INSIDE OF A CATS MOUTH BEFORE.
ANIWA IS SUCH A COOL MIX OF
COLORS ON THE OUTSIDE, AND I
THOUGHT HER MOUTH WOULD
BE BLACK LIKE HER NOSE AND LIP.
BOY WAS I WRONG! HER UPPER
PALATE WAS HALF PINK AND HALF
CREAMY WHITE. NOT BLACK AT ALL!
SO I'VE CONCLUDED THAT THE GENE
(SPOTTING GENE) THAT TORTIES
AND CALICOS BOTH HAVE CAN SHOW
UP ANYWHERE ON THE CATS BODY!?
INTERESTING?
LOVE TO HERE YOUR THOUGHTS?
I don't remember looking at Tabatha's mouth, on the inside. I don't think I have any pictures to go reference. She passed almost 2 years ago.
ReplyDeletethis pic is funny :P
ReplyDeleteThat is a very funny picture!
ReplyDeleteThat's cute! I haven't paid any attention to my cats' yawns but will check them out now!
ReplyDeleteI love it when the cats yawn - it is so cute! Virgil has a dot on the roof of his mouth (the vets assistant noticed it in the blog and thought it was a small hole and had the vet check it - he said that it is normal for kitties to have different colored mouth roofs). Virgil has such pink lips that I am surprised the roof isn't that color. Barney has dark spots too. But honestly it is the cute tongue roll when they yawn that gets me every time!
ReplyDeleteI think you have a good theory. I haven't thought to look in Lucy's mouth when she yawns, but she's a tortie too. I love this pic of Aniwa!
ReplyDeleteAwww, she does have a cture little yawn goin' on there! I know that Skeeter has a black spot on her inside bottom left lip and for the longest time, just thought she was seeing things!
ReplyDeleteI love it when they yawn.. If you catch a picture then its looks quite fierce.. Hugs GJ x
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool action shot!
ReplyDeleteBesides the colors, what did she say ??
